The Set – I love MAC lipsticks but I have to admit I hadn’t tried
anything else MAC before this Firecracker set that I received for my birthday. Have to say, it’s definitely worth the money!
The Packaging – Arriving in a simple cardboard box, I wouldn’t say the packaging was super luxurious but the lady on the front of the box looks hella dramatic with that lip and lash combo so I still love it!
The Liquid Lip – I have only tried much cheaper brands of liquid lips like MUA from Superdrug and Barry M. When I put this on I was slightly overwhelmed by how much pigmentation there was. My lips were RED af. I overestimated how much I needed thinking i’d need a generous helping, don’t do what I did. A little goes a long way with this liquid lip. The brush is a great shape for full coverage and the staying power is almighty. I had to take the swatches off my arm after these pictures and it took a good while even with a wet wipe AND soap. Go MAC!
The Mascara – Now I tend not to buy fancy mascaras because my lashes are quite long and there’s a fair few of them but the problem with my lashes is that they are so straight. The first pic for example you can’t bloody see them because they have the urge to point straight forward. Jerks. MACs Mascara was great at lifting them up, I tend to use thin applications as I hate clumpy looking lashes. I thought it worked really well and did stay on all day!
The Lipstick – Like I said, I love MAC lipsticks already so I knew this baby wouldn’t disappoint me! I love the velvety feeling of a MAC lipstick. Something about it screams ‘I’m expensive and fancy and you should wear me on a special night’ do you know what I mean? The coverage for this was great, the colour a dark deep red which I love much more than bright reds due to my skin tone. Love love love!
The Price – I mentioned earlier that this was a birthday present, I don’t really want to ruin the thought behind it by looking up the price but I am certain it is lower than the products bought individually which are: Lipstick – £15, Liquid Lip – £14, Mascara – £19.50.
Is it worth it? YAS. Definitely, you can’t go wrong with these products and can make any casual outfit into a bombshell look. Do you own MAC products? What should I try next?
