Are a company that put together monthly boxes of tea! They give you 6 samples of different teas from different brands to try out for the month. They also tell you which company the teas are from, which means if you like that tea enough – you can get more! PERFECT! I was lucky enough to have two boxes sent to me and honestly – I was impressed! There is nothing I hate more than paying money for a monthly box of something that gives me a tiny amount of product. Whether it be tea or beauty stuff. So it was good to see that Tea Tourist gave more than 2 cups worth for EVERY sample they selected. You the real MVP.
So I’m pretty much going to show you what I’ve received in each box, what I thought about the whole concept and most importantly how it tastes.
How it works:
So, they select 6 different teas for you to try and they pop them in plastic bags – that you can reseal and use again or take them around with you for tea on the go. Each little pouch comes with the flavours involved, and instructions on when the tea will be best enjoyed! For example these the ‘Apple and grapefruit’ & ‘White Bellini’ teas. The description about the flavour and when it’s best served etc on one side of the paper. The instructions on how to make the tea is on the other side. PS. White Bellini is AH-MAZING.
So let’s get onto the months and what’s in there!
White Bellini – Seriously tastes like the cocktail and I couldn’t finish it quicker, definitely going to get some of this from ‘The Tea Experience’
Rooibos Rhubarb Fudge – I love fudge and this tea does not let me down! Really sweet smelling, says to try with milk which I still need to do!
Apple and Grapefruit – Very fruity flavour and definitely one of my faves from this months box.
Doomni Sftgfop – No I haven’t made a typing error, i’m not sure what language it’s in but it’s a black tea which has an orange flavour, smells incredible!
Lemongrass and Ginger – I don’t know about you but the first thing I reach for when I have a sore throat is lemon and ginger tea from Twinings. I have to say, this tastes much nicer!
Sherlock Holmes Tea – When I think of Sherlock Holmes, I think of someone in really dark scenes smoking a pipe.. Maybe it’s just me? Either way the tea sort of smells like what I imagine, it’s got a very smokey tone to it but doesn’t taste too strong!
So after the first box and there not being a single tea I didn’t enjoy – I was really excited when the second one popped through the door. Although my dog was quite excited to see it too and managed to take the corner of the box off – bad Stella! June’s flavours were:
Mint Chocolate – I saw this and whipped the kettle on straight away, I needed to try it and it didn’t let me down. Honestly you know mint choc chip ice cream – it smells THE EXACT SAME.
Time For Bliss – If you look in this pouch you’ll see some cute pink rose petals which is pretty much most bloggers dream picture wise. But what makes it better is the subtle lemon and other fruity flavours you get in this cup!
Flexibilitea – See what they did there? This cup was filled with nettle, jasmine flowers and marshmallow… you can’t make this stuff up! Smells delicious and yummy before bed as there’s no caffeine.
Assam Tea With Vanilla – The only tea that I’ve received that has actual tea bags which is somewhat easier! It tastes quite sweet and I’m going to try milk with my next cup because milk and vanilla is bomb.
Rhubard And Vanilla – This smells SO GOOD! I don’t know what it is about rhubarb but I love it, the cup sort of reminded me of tucking into a rhubarb crumble. I mean it obviously had less calories and all but you know what I mean..
Earl Grey Blue Rose – I’ve saved the best for last! I L-O-V-E earl grey tea. I don’t drink normal breakfast tea anymore unless I’ve completely ran out of earl grey so imagine my excitement when I saw this in the box. mmmm!
My overall thoughts:
Have to say – I didn’t think i’d enjoy Tea Tourist as much as I did. There’s something about having more than just builders tea in the house that makes it a much more exciting experience and definitely led me to put in more effort having at least a cup a day! I loved the flavours that they’ve specially chosen for us to enjoy and I’ve already opened the next box (JULY) to get a head start on tasting them all for you! I wanted to show you all the strainer I used but turned out it was rubbish – mine let all the little tea leaves through into the cup so I had to throw it. If you want to be inventive like me and you don’t have a tea strainer – run to your nearest Tesco etc and grab some coffee filter papers because they do the EXACT same job and are much cheaper! Result!
If you think Tea Tourist sounds great and want to give it a go, you’ll be excited to know that with SHAN30 you can get 30% off your first box! Hope you enjoyed this post and I can’t wait to share this months box with yous!
